Our Projects

 Susanne Hitchcock is the owner and lead designer of Interiors by the Bay. Her interest in interior design began in Southern California as a youth when she was introduced to the industry through her family's interior design firm, DeVaughn Interiors. Susanne relocated to South Florida in 2009 where she designed numerous model homes for Patten Companies, a large real estate investment and development firm based in Naples, Florida.  She has also designed many homes for individual clients, ranging from new construction to renovating an existing space. Susanne currently offers interior design services in the Wilmington, North Carolina area for residential clients, builders and real estate investors.

Susanne's style is very unique and diverse as she has worked on both the East & West coasts of the United States.  She focuses on the individual interior design needs of each client to bring their vision to life, while adding creativity, flair and functional elements.   Susanne specializes in crafting rich, visually-pleasing environments that radiate style – yet are comfortable and feel like "home".  She also has a passion for painting and art, which is apparent in her eye for color and balance. Susanne believes in a comprehensive approach to design, and takes into account that client satisfaction can only truly be achieved when all of the contributing components are considered. Without compromising any of these important details or high design standards, she strives to present each client with a finished product that is a moving experience.

Susanne is known for creating lasting relationships with her clients as she always considers their design wants and needs, while simultaneously introducing them to new ideas and design solutions. This collaborative energy provides clients with unique spaces expertly tailored to suit their lifestyle and taste.
